Its amazing how many people reach out to you when you stop reaching out to them. I have noticed that the ones who don’t reach out to you often (but you reach out to them) are the ones who tend to ignore and hang up on you when there is a slight disagreement over the phone. It makes sense, since power is given to them by giving them more attention than they really deserve.

I recently stopped reaching out to people who rarely reach out to me, even family. Its not worth my energy or time.

Thank you so much. I never knew how to deal with my mother when she goes stone cold for days on end until I humiliate myself and apologize for basically, existing. This was very helpful

Thank you, my so called “bestfriend” is always shutting me out, giving me the silent treatment. She also always leaves me for popular people, and she made me cry 2 twice, and go to our counselor plenty of times. Yeah you might think I’m overreacting but she does this 3 times a week, in only 5 days. Thank you

You know, I had been given the silent treatment for approximately a year by a relative (who had ignored most of my messages and phone call last Christmas). She never contacts me unless it's a very special day, or my birthday, and when she sent me a birthday message (a "wish" simply saying "Happy, Happy Birthday.", decorated with lots of emojis), I never replied. This was because when I tried making a phone call to find out how she was doing, since we hadn't spoken in a year and a half, she never answered nor bothered to return the call.

This is maybe the best advice I've seen on this topic. The way she phrases the instructions and the concise length of the video is much appreciated. Too often Advice videos on this topic are drawn out so long that it's hard to remember or even write down an action plan from the advice.

I have been giving my family the silent treatment because they didn't believe me about me being hurt over a famous guy. They actually thought that my broken hearted situation wasn't important enough. It hurt me so bad that I have cried so hard & decided to become silent.

Oh, the silent treatment is a game I don't play or allow to be dragged into.

For me I've become silent in self-preservation from verbal and physical abuse and rage from my sister.
I only speak to her if absolutely necessary.
We live together.
We share no reality.
Her continual verbal abuse is ongoing

It's great to see you making new videos on YouTube. One's that are not just for ex and current witnesses, but, for any individual person.

I’ve tried saying I hope she’s ok but I did nothing to even apologize for so that’s not happening

Hello, I can't find your husband's great videos (EXJW ANALYZER) anymore. I enjoyed it very much. He was relevant and fair. Why did he remove his chain? Bonjour de France.

Thank you for this video. How long should one wait if they are being iced by someone who says "they need time..."
It's been 2 months...
Or would it be better for the person to reach out when they feel they are ready?

Hello, I called my only friend who didn’t respond though she was in quarantine and she told me to call her back in a few days time after She had a one way street conversation with me, she didn’t answer, a few hours later she called me but I was unable to answer as I was crossing the road with my special needs son.
I left a message to explain why I didn’t answer.
The next day I called back and she didn’t pick up.
Is she giving me the silent treatment?
What shall I do about that?
