Victor Safe Set Mouse Trap

The Victor Safe-Set Mouse Trap can be used indoors or outdoors. It is easy to set with one hand and has a bait cup that snaps into place. The bait cup has a hood which the rodent must lift to gain access to the bait. Lifting the hood triggers the trap eliminating the rodent. Reopening the trap allows for easy disposal. I use peanut butter as a bait but have not caught a rodent yet. It has a great design and is reusable. It is plastic making it easy to clean and reuse. I like it better than using chemicals as at times mice eat the chemicals and crawl back into the walls to die which can leave an odor and is a health concern. I recommend trying this product as the features make sense for my needs and concerns related to other methods.

I just got two of those, but the mice are not remotely interested in the peanut butter inside them. I am seeing them just running around the traps. 😩 UPDATE: My mistake was using sugar free PB, but l tried organic dog food (kibble) previously soaked and softened with hot water to make it fit, and l already caught at least five!!

Did you catch anything? I've had four of these exact traps out for days full of bait, and they are not catching anything. All of my cheap Victor mouse traps are catching them though.

Does it kill the mouse or just trap it? I set one and I hear plastic rattling in the kitchen as if one is caught but not dead.

It is supposed to be safe for cats so couldn't a cat raise the plate, trying to get to some peanut butter and get caught?

These traps suck. I’ve had multiple out for days and not a thing. I put out the classic wooden traps and catch multiple in a day.
