The upside down fire changed my life forever. Takes 5 minutes to make and zero maintenance for at least an hour

Fire climbs! Teepee fire is what my dad taught us growing up camping!

I love the upside down fire. Everyone is amazed when im ice fishing with a fire and theres no water around it. It was in my old boy scout book!

Upside down fire is the best. I'm lazy and love the reduced upkeep.

The "lean-to" has become my favorite. Use one large split log, then prop smaller pieces of wood against it with kindling underneath. Add larger leaning pieces as the fire grows. It starts easier than a log cabin but doesn't completely fall apart like a teepee.

I usually start with a log cabin of smaller sticks, then form a larger teepee over it as it burns. I’ve always found the log cabin easier for starting the fire. That’s just me though. Great video, never tried the others but I’ll give them a shot now

I prefer just making up chaotic pile of sticks and wood seems to work for me

The upside down fire is a scandinavian idea for use in stoves. By setting the fire higher in the stove, the flue heats sooner and thereby starts convecting smoke earlier.

The star is great using solid 10 foot poles

When we camp, usually for a few days, we make a convection fire. Takes about an hour to make. But when done, it could be raining like the front end of a hurricane and the fire will not go out.

I prefer a leanto style fire with a large log on 1 side and bigger branches laid on top of the log with a small tinder pile underneath leaning on the side of the log.

Number 5 is the best. From actual experience.

Log cabin is great when your woods wet as well. Couldn’t tell you why, but hey it works
