I just went back to using turntables since mine got stolen 15 years ago. I used them at the club last weekend and it went pretty good. I didn't do any scratching, just basic mixing and blending which I was concentrating on. Scratching will come later when I feel confident enough to do it. the last few years I've used controllers and I feel the difference. I realized how much I missed turntables.

Hey TLM... Here is a short story of the long story. I have been djing since 1991. I play on tables, cdj's and now I am playing with a controller. I practice daily and I would say that my mixes are on point and I have a small bag of scratches. So here it is. I can not ever get booked. I have handed out tapes, hit up mixcloud and soundcloud. I have tried to throw some of my own parties. But the local pub does not attract the clientele for the type of music I play. I have reached out to other dj's to try to build a friendship and also to do some networking. But no one seems to be interested. Now I have come across the random gig and have always given my best when these opportunities arise, but nothing ever comes out of it. Not sure what to do? Anyways, I love the channel, always fun to watch.

help needed. I had my nunmark mixtrack (not pro) since about 2012 in middle school and my dad just gave me his old djm 909. I wanted to go with vinyl but have no idea on how to wire anything or the types of turntable to buy. My budget was around $500 for whatever I need and I'm not sure what to do with just the mixer.

Is it okay to play the same tracks every weekend at a gig? I always have the same 100 tracks prepared with the que points, but of course i dont play them in the same order, but is that legit or should i mix it up? Bcs i dont find any tracks to play, do you have websites or something?

Question : I’m ready to pay for a monthly subscription to a DJ Pool, but will I actually “own” the tracks that I download from the pool ? If I cancel the subscription, will I loose the tracks I downloaded ? ..and also is there a limit to how many tracks can be downloaded at a monthly?

Thats the problem people always want the quick fix or tutorial, sometimes you just gotta work it out yourself and you become a better DJ that way. Good video man. Peace
