Great video. I'm in 5b and an in my 5th year of making my backyard English garden. It is a labor of love for sure. I also focused on perennials. I started from seeds, don't start with a watering can! Opt in for a mister. They are inexpensive and your seeds will thank you! That was my first lesson learned!

Hi Janey, I was looking around youtube and found this video for beginner gardeners - what a find. I've been gardening for a few years now but sometimes going back to basics helps a ton. Watering is my biggest challenge. I either drown them or don't give them any water. Yellow leaves mean both - sigh. Maybe some day I'll figure it out. Thanks for this. I love your channel.
