Just getting back into the sports after a long period of being de-trained. I recently turned 44 and it has been since i was 28 that i practised any form of martial arts. Now i still got the techniques in my head, but no longer in my body. My youngest son recently saw an old video of me when i was in my late teens training Muay Thai & taekwondo and now he wants me to teach him. He's autistic and the few clubs where i live unfortunatly are not eager to accept him. Mainly because he's only 8 and he's not so comfortable with crowds and his motor skills are not so well developed. So i decided to get back to the basics myself and see if i can train him, at least until he's comfortable enough and confident enough to train with other people in the club. This video is helping me help my son, so thank you for this, truely.

I look like a goofball practicing this right now. I didn't even realize I had bad habits until I heard some of these tips. Thanks Gabriel!

Recently quit the gym I was going to. This video is an exemplary example why. You taught me more in a effective manner in 20 minutes, than I have learned my past year there. They are a competitive gym too. Actively competing in tournaments & the such. Unfortunately its the only gym in my area. But everything is so political & divisive, that it gets in the way of learning. Ill be competing in a IKF event January 7th. I have a small home gym that me & a couple buddies train & spar in. Videos like this are worth more than you could ever possibly imagine. Thank you

I like the way you are repeatedly saying that things can be done differently... I really agree. There is no best style. But there is a style that really works for you!

This is a great, concise video. You covered a lot of ground in minutes while demonstrating very effectively.
No harm has come to anyone for going back to the basics.
No one has achieved mastery in any field without a solid foundation.
Fundamentals are as defined.

This was awesome. Like others said, 4 years compresed into 29 minutes. Just watched the whole thing. It's not 1 second too long. Pure information. Thank you, Gabriel.

I started kickboxing and had my first class about 7 hours ago, and it felt SO GOOD!

I'm excited to continue my training outside the gym to strengthen my skills.

Omg that was absolutely packed with technique a beginner can use for 2 years of training. I am dead serious. I had some coaching over that period of time and I can honestly say every aspect plus more than what I learned is in this 20min video you seriously can't find that often... wonder if he does online group or private lessons... I hope so!

I finally purchased my bag and got it hung. First thing I did was look up several videos for proper teachings. This is one of the best I’ve seen. Concise, explains the different sets motions and stances. Really appreciate this! I will be referencing back to this from time to time.
