You're an Introvert
if:
Your inner monologue never stops. ...
You enjoy spending plenty of time alone. ...
You do your best thinking alone. ...
You often feel lonelier in a crowd than when you're alone. ...
You feel like you're faking it when you have to network. ...
You have no desire to be the center of attention.

I’m an introvert and I’m called a leader a lot, I thought that introverts couldn’t be leaders. Last year I was chosen to go to a leadership day, I was so confused because I’m so quiet and scared of talking in front of people

Edit: I’m not saying that all introverts are like me, I’m just very very shy

As an introvert who never likes being in a leader role, but finds myself being put in the position, it's nice to hear how I do make a good leader and get reminded why I was promoted to that position.

People always say that I'm a leader, but I think otherwise.

I'm not saying that I'm not a leader, but I'm not a follower either.

I just like to call myself my own person.

As an introvert, I'm pretty much of a person that has a very small friend group and I'm considered the head of the group and I have no understanding why. My friends say it's because I know what I'm doing even if I don't realize it and I listen and give off the best solutions for them.

Not that this is necessarily exclusive to introverts, but I just feel that the best leaders of all time are highly sensitive people and people that care for other people. People that can easily sense how others are feeling; when somethings wrong in another person's life, and care enough to go out of their way to help that person. This care and sensitivity reflect in everything they do - even at scale, and ultimately, this is what I feel have, can, and will create the best leaders in the entire world. So inspiring to see leaders like this!

Hey, please read this. I need advices.

My name is Roman, and I am 16. Currently, I am living in France, and I need answers from some of you.

I have been struggling with social anxiety since I was 10. I have always been anxious, but this anxiety is getting worse since the quarantine, and I don’t know what to do.
In my family, as a man, you shouldn’t show your emotions and talk about your problems. But I’ve been bottling up all my emotions and problems since I was 10, and I think I can’t no more.
Also, school has resumed. I am a very good student and my parents put a lot of pressure on me, in order to do better in life than they did. I am a perfectionist, so I also naturally put pressure on myself, because I won’t allow myself to fail. But I am lost and don’t really know what to do as a job. I would want to be a musician, but my parents want me to become an engineer. My social anxiety also doesn’t help with social interactions at school, as you can imagine.
I’ve also experienced panic attacks since the quarantine because of this stressful, almost toxic environment that I’m living in. And I fear every one of the future panic attacks I’ll have, which gives me even more anxiety.
I definitely need someone to talk to about everything, but my parents won’t listen. Every time I want to talk about something serious about me, they’ll laugh and tell me I exaggerate.
I thought about a psychologist, but my parents would have to know about it, and I don’t want them to.
I am stuck right now. I am slowly closing in on myself, and I am aware of it. I’ve never been a fan of going out or partying, but now I am fearing it. I am at the lowest I’ve ever been. These past weeks, I have thought about suicide, but the only thing that keeps me alive is the fear of suffering physically.

What can I do ? Please give me answers.

I think everyone can be a leader in their own unique way. Maybe we have adopted the idea that a leader is the loud one and the one who thinks fast and solves problems right away. So, if you are an introvert...awesome!! You are a leader regardless 🌸💙

In Myers-Briggs I'm consistsntly labelled ESTJ but I really relate to a lot of this video, especially about meaningful interactions! I love that I'm able to charge forward and collectively organise people, as well as slowing down to make sure all the right decisions are made. Great and insightful video as always 😁

That plushie of Psi was so cute that I gasped out loud when I saw it. This video was a nice confidence booster by the way. There are so many extroverts in the world that most leaders that I tend to think of and see are not that similar to me. It's nice to see leadership spoken about through these lenses because I genuinely never thought about leadership in terms of introvert and extrovert. It's lovely hearing my own quieter more unassuming leadership traits spoken of so positively and regarded for having true value.

I’m an introvert, but in group projects I always find myself being the leader. And I’m very efficient about it too.
