He Who Remains is a variant of Kang the Conqueror, who has now overtaken the TVA in Loki Episode 6 and is positioned to be the new big bad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe behind titles like Spider-Man No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania, perhaps even the WandaVision post-credit scene. Erik Voss explains what Kang's ultimate plan is, and why he's most afraid of a Spiderverse crossover in No Way Home.

Wednesday is in two days. And it feels weird not expecting a Loki episode.

One way or another, Loki always introduces us to the main MCU villain

In Chess, a Gambit is essentially a sacrifice of a piece for compensation elsewhere…so sacrificing he who remains for long term benefit (for kangs) definitely makes sense

Kang is easily going to be the most interesting and well thought of character in mcu history. Going to be amazing for us fans to watch ! Love you Erik

Honestly, I think it comes down to what he says to Loki; "Interesting that your mind goes (to manipulation)". The greatest deceit he could pull would be to tell nothing but the truth. And I think that's what he did.

Johnathan Majors is gonna kill this role and ascend to stardom like most Marvel actors and actresses.

Thanos was about overpowering ppl. Kang is going to be about out-thinking ppl.

Option A: kill Kang, setting the stage for another Kang to take his place
Option B: overthrow Kang, allowing the TVA to continue operating under someone else’s leadership
Option C: do nothing, keep Kang in power

It’s a lose-lose-lose

I can't get over how this Kang's backstory(specifically the one explained in ep. 6) is just like Rick Sanchez, who has a council and backstory inspired by Kang, and they now share writers.

so Loki should be good on explaining everything he knows to Dr. Strange 😂

I think I believe him too!! He is tired of the monotony same outcome every time BUT if he brings his other variants then he knows things will "spice up"...

"Kang's Gambit" has a nice ring to it

Thanos: I'm inevitable.
Kang: hold my apple.

What if the Nexus event when Loki and Sylvie held hands was because they were growing a bond and may not betray each other when Kang needs them to in the end

It's easy, Marvel is going to bring Loki back into the cinematic universe after season 2 of Loki to help the Avengers face Kang.

I think, to explain his delight after the threshold was crossed, he was just very excited and happy about getting to experience the unknown again. Or, at least it’s part of it. You can tell that afterward, as well, when he stopped being the “know it all” of the room, his speech became more stuttered and unsure, yet he was giddy.

So I have a thought: what if the nexus event on lamentis wasn't about the two Loki's look and feelings towards each other, and that fact that they were about to die was the cause? He who remains did say he planned and paved it all right? So them dying would create a nexus event.
