Yes, it's a really long name for a motorcycle. But look past the name for a minute and you might come to see that the 2024 Suzuki GSX-S1000GX+ is Suzuki's most advanced motorcycle to date. A spinoff of the GSX-S1000GT, the GX+ is for those sport-touring riders who prefer a more upright position, longer-travel suspension, and even more electronic rider aids. Power comes from Suzuki's tried-and-true 999cc inline-Four that can trace its roots back to the K5 GSX-R1000 – but is that such a bad thing?

To find out, Ryan Adams took the trek to Portugal to give Suzuki's latest sport-tourer a spin and see for himself.

I’ve been eyeing an S1000XR for some time, this surprise of a release by Suzuki has me interested. I’ve been head over heels with the looks of the XR since the latest gen came out but this Suzuki is handsome in its own right, would save me some change too!

the front and headlight are such a huge improvement over the GT. cant stand the headlights on that bike, this one is very handsome.

$20, 565 is what it takes to get a similarly equipped S1000XR with no luggage only luggage prep. Despite Suzuki’s seemingly high price, problem free ownership comes standard and that’s worth a few grand to someone who actually rides. The Suzuki is an easy choice and a win at under $19k fully equipped

As a salesman who only rides what I sell, I am so glad to see this model. Sorry customers, my first one goes to my home 🙂

I really like this bike it suits my style of you could make these videos longer, with riding impressions while riding the bike and the whole adventure of a bike launch. Lamb Chops Rides made 2 - 30 min videos on this launch and I've watch them several times Otherwise good job.

Sounds like it's time to round up some competition.
Versus 1000 SE, Yamaha FZ9 GT, and I would toss in the GSX-1000 GT too.
I am a potential buyer for all 4 and having them together in one comparison would be interesting.

How many will actually use all those electronic settings?

Or maybe RT for Renn Touring lol.
Anyway seems super nice, except you need a nice seat to match.
Wonder where it revs in top gear on the freeway at 80mph?
Does it have the torque to not have to downshift?
Still a competitive price with the tech.

Suzuki seems to be pricing their bikes a little higher this year compared to the past. Still cheaper than the BMW though.

Thanks for calling a Sport Tourer, GT maybe has I fly screen. I'd think to compare GT w Ninja 1000, GS w big Versys. Later is comparison id like to see. Not sure Tracer is the size for comfort for 6'2" long leg frame, coming from FJR. Could there be MT-10 sport tourer, come-on Yamaha!

Ninja 1000 sx for me test rode them both and I’ll stay team green.

I really like this as I was looking for something more powerful than a Tracer 9. However it seems over compared to the GT. Yes electronic suspension but at what $4k more?

Nice review & an interesting bike. Although I really don't get why they'd only bring in one colour? What's the benefit & advantage of doing that as surely there can't be a financial reason based on different colours alone? Very strange marketing decision although Suzuki do get a bit weird & out there sometimes I guess.

Are the suspension settings independent of the rider mode settings? What if you want the moderate throttle with the firm suspension?
