Finally a roti recipe that even an American can make. I've made this recipe twice already (2 days in a row) and they came out perfect both times. Thank you so much!

I really appreciate that you didn't do a lot of editing to the process. I've never made roti, so it's super helpful to watch someone make them in real time. Thanks!

I am an Rn & the best part of working in inner city Hospitals is working with Nurses from all over the World. I worked @ Northwestern in Chicago way back in the 1970-80s, I think I remember having this filled with a Veggie Curry (potato & Cauliflower) wrapped like a big egg roll, DEliCiouS. Those were the days we all thought we would never loose touch with each other sadly life got in the way. I am very grateful that I still do have two friends from that time which is amazing. Thank U I enjoyed this so much,

YOU ROCK!! It’s a shame how many times I was taught to make roti. All the traditional ways I always thought no way too complicated. So they didn’t make me do it. Girl, now I live in a place where if I want Guyanese food I need to make it myself. So I was feeling brave and I found you, what I posted my roti on Instagram, I didn’t realize some of the people who contacted me were still following me. They all wanted the recipe and I forwarded your link. One friend already followed you and never saw the roti recipe. Thank you, it’s not only easy but my roti came out perfectly flaky with lovely “ brown bits”😋. Making more right now, thank you, sooo soooo easy!

Tried a recipe from a professional chef, tried yours, you win BY FAR! They are amazing. I was at first surprised that there was no salt in them, but you don't need it, they were perfect with the chicken curry we made. They were flaky and soft, perfect! The method is very well explained, especially the rolling part (cone, tucking etc..) and the clapping. I used the container version to clap. We are making the recipe again tomorrow with jerk chicken... thank you so much!

I've never made roti myself, however I use to buy them from a store front restaurant that have now closed. So, I now see how to make them myself. Thank you for the video, and it was well explained. You did a great job.

OMG!! Thank you so much. I tried the recipe with ghee and it came out perfect. The way I remember it growing up. The addition of the yeast is a game changer. My husband is so happy right now. I used to make curries and always had to buy the roti skin to complete my meal....not anymore thanks to this super easy recipe.

I cant count how many times I've made this... it's a hit with everyone who's tried it😅 They all want to know the 'secret ingredient' lol. Also things I add to mine that make the actual roti a bit more tasty: salt, black pepper/ cayenne pepper, powder milk ( or substitute half of the water for evaporated milk). Sometimes I forget to make these additions and I can definitely taste the difference.

Thank you for igniting my love for roti💕

Just finished stuffing myself with your wonderful bussup shut! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I visited T & T, 15 years ago, and still crave the foods, and drinks. Tried someone else's recipe and it was such a flop, I haven't tried in 10 years. Even trekked all over New York, to purchase from the community, but I won't have to anymore, because of your recipe.

Since I haven't progressed to making curried stews to eat with it, I settled for my 3 hour chili. OH! MY! GOSH! I'm in heaven!

Thank you for your generosity in sharing your "secret sauce (yeast)." It's PERFECT!

You even shared remedies for clapping; using a container instead.

God bless you and your family. Thank you so much, again! I'm SO grateful!

Thank you so much!!! I tried your recipe and it was awesome!!! I’ve been trying to make parata roti perfectly for over fifty years. Today I tried your recipe with my 11 year old grand daughter and I was so proud of the outcome!! It was soft, light, and tasted delicious!
