I also found out that telling people about your goals can actually attract jealousy, unfortunately not everyone wishes the best for you

Regarding to step 3: "Don't hide", I agree that is inmature. But when you feel so bad about yourself and even feel shame, it is almost innevitable to hide, going ghost mode, deleting social media, Letting the others "forget" about you so you don't feel that shame as much. And eventually coming back not like if you were some kind of perfect being but at least someone who is not ashamed about himself. Coming back like nothing bad have actually happened to you and you have most things figured out. I'm currently going through that, sadly. Knowing that is inmature I'm doing it anyways. The pain is so intense to bear. On the bright side, the last two steps helps a lot. I will definitely work on that.

The best self-improvement advice I ever heard (possibly on this channel) was “today is the youngest you will ever be”. It has been honestly life changing and has been the kick up the backside I needed.

mainstream stuff about self-improvement are so overrated. The best investment you can make is in yourself. Books are the ultimate learning tool. Reading Bruce Thornwood's Unveiling your hidden potential helped me build discipline and separate my mindset from 90% of other people

I also find that announcing my intentions creates this vicious cycle of different announcements and a sensitivity to the response of the person, which has the ability to throw me off center. It's good to just shut up and take action. 🚀

I"ve found that the "don't tell people" rule also plays out in the realm of creative writing. When you spill the beans on something you're working on because you're excited about it, that can have a negative effect on your motivation because your desired result (telling a story) is already fulfilled.

#2 is an incredibly important point. When I want to start doing something, I start researching "what's the most efficient way to do this" or something along those lines. I spend so much time thinking and researching about said thing that I end up not even doing it. It's like Nike's motto Just Do It
