In some ways, job interviews are pointless. People come in with rehearsed, practiced answers to questions and you don’t get to see their true work ethic, behavior, and personality until they have been in the position for a bit.

new healthcare workers: one thing to say for a weakness is saying you are a new grad or new to the field however you are eager to learn new skills. This is good because you address the elephant in the room that you're new and may not have had this position before ( new RN). And then you can add the little line of you're eager to learn. I then asked based on this interview if there was anything they were hesitant about and they said "just the lack of experience" and I was able to again reiterate that I am eager to learn and look forward to obtaining new skills.

Thank you Cass! For the people who are watching this video, I encourage you to pause the video once Cass asked the question - so you get to think for it yourself first, and see how effective your answer is!

This is great advice. As an employer, I use variations of some of these questions. I find it refreshing when my candidate doesn’t bend over backwards trying to avoid admitting they don’t know. As a matter of fact, in the past six months, I’ve hired staff based on their honesty and directness. They didn’t know some of the applications we use, but through their answers to other questions, I knew they would easily learn. They are now two of my top workers on my team, far outpacing some of the people who have been there longer. Never be afraid to admit you don’t know. If your new employer values knowledge, they will empower you to get it. Good luck out there! Cass, keep up the awesome work!

Cass-THANK YOU. I have goosebumps typing this. I'm 52, and haven't been on/to a legit interview since shoulder pads were in fashion. I binged your videos/listened while walking in the park. I had stories in mind to apply to behavioral questions, I had practiced 'tell me about yourself' and I was completely at ease with the screener. Who turned out to be the only person I would talk to!! I asked the hard question too. I was offered the entry level job of a LIFETIME!!! There is opportunity to get training and move up the ladder-in any direction I want. It is all there for me. I have friends who work there and attest it really IS a dream employer. I was so much better prepared thanks to your videos. THANK YOU!!!

I had one of the most important interviews of my life a couple days ago. It was also my first ever "formal" interview so you could imagine how nervous I was. I watched every single one of your videos, asked the uncomfortable question and KICKED ASS!!! The coronel who interviewed me was so impressed and excited for my future. THANK YOU!

Hey Cass! I just wanted to express my gratitude to you. I am job searching for the first time in 5 years and I didn't prepare for my first interview and bombed it horribly. After consuming your content, practicing, trusting myself and my experiences, I just landed a high paying job in my dream state of California. Thank you so much for your content! It still feels surreal!

I would say where can I get so many pennies to stack up to the height of the Empire building, haha

Joe-txpu

In case anyone is curious, the empire state building is 443 meters tall and a penny is 1.52 mm thick, so it would take roughly 2, 914, 474 pennies (rounded up to the nearest whole number), this assumes you count the antenna. If you dont, its only 381 meters tall and it would take only 2, 506, 579 pennies, saving you 408, 395 pennies, or $4, 083.95. Your welcome.

I'm going to an interview later today, and I have been watching your videos all morning. I'm really nervous, but I'm preparing.
Although we haven't had ink in our printer for months, so guess who has no resume? I did take photos of it, and am going to offer to send the interviewer an email afterwards.

Haha. When you said "how do you make eggs" I was thinking about how to actually make them from scratch without a chicken.
