DJI Avata 2 Sound Comparison - Avata / Mini 4 Pro / Air 3

It's finally here, the new DJI Avata 2 is released. This all new FPV drone has been completely redesigned with a lower profile compared to the Avata 1. This reminds me of Dexter’s laboratory or power puff girls style editing when you compare the sounds, it’s like those scenes where two characters in the plot are making their own noises before meeting in the same scene. Lol.

Really helpful comparison. Thank you. I'm shocked that the mini-4 pro is louder than the Air 3. Ultimately, that high pitched scream I'm so used to with my Avata is more tone than decibles. Good seeing the switching between the two side by side. Thank you

It's bizarre how sensitive we are to tone differences with these kinds of things. I can't stand the high pitched squeels personally, while the lower, almost bee-hive-esque, sounds of the larger drones aren't nearly as bothersome to me. Avata 2 vs 1 for instance is also a *massive* difference.

i cannot withstand these sounds. I will wait anti-gravity engines...lol..Hey Hutchison was capable to make fly a steel ball with low energy, it must be possible, with special frequencies.

Every 3dB the sound gets double which means that if the anata2 is at 81dB then if you measure 2 avata2 hover simulaney you will get 84dB, and 4 will measure 87dB, so anata2 is about 4 times quieter than avata1!

I bought the Avata the signal strength was a joke
Bought the mini 4 pro it's my best drone for distance and so much more

i impulse bought an Avata when it was first released and man i have such huge buyers remorse now that we have things like Mini 4.
Avata is fun to fly but i can't fly it anywhere without annoying the hell out of everyone within a mile radius...

Thanks for this great comparison, Sir! It's amazing how much quieter the Avata 2 is compared to the Avata.. I was definitely considering the Avata 1, but the noise was a big concern for me. Now I'm leaning towards the Avata 2 instead. mini 4 pro is cool

Many thanks! Longer blades and slower spin speeds help a lot with sound it seems. Might replace the old faithful Mini 2 and get an Avata 2.

who would have thought that weight and prop size and shape would make a difference in how loud the drone would be. wild concept.

it's still loud and shrill sounding. they just can't get it right. I have plenty of custom whoops that sound so much better. very disappointing result from a multibillion dollar company. you can't beat their camera drones but they suck at FPV. I think if they cared and put some time into it they could actually make something impressive. it's such a waste of an opportunity.
