Well, I don't know why people are complaining about the position of SD card in Avata. I find it easy to access. Maybe the first time, but then you learn, as you learn every other thing on this planet. It takes a minute or two to figure it out, but I had no problem afterwards.

Just got the drone been flying it for a couple of days, the biggest draw back for me is the quality of the still photos, I know I should not expect much from a FPV drone, video quality is pretty good tho.

With the height limit, what happens if you go up the mountain and land somewhere then take off again? Does it reset the height to be the distance from ground you took off from?

I returned my Avata 2 after about 2 weeks. Once you realize you want to fly ACTUAL freestyle, the Avata simply cannot do it. It's great for noobs, and to get into it and see if you like it. Be prepared to return it if you aren't into sluggish cinematic FPV. It can do flips rolls and such, but if you try to do a yaw spin, the flight controller freaks out and flips your drone. This alone was enough to make me realize that I had outgrown the Avata 2. If you want to do Juicy, avoid the Avata 2.

I was flying drones when it was pretty new.. Like.. So my latest gear are Skyzone 2 and a cc3d controller! :D Im thinking start all ower.. I thinking about buy a Avata 2 to get the googles.. and to get a easy to fly cinema drone to start with.. And later on get a real chines stunt drone? Am i stupid? Or do i got a plan?

My Avata 2 went haywire in the exact same way, I uploaded a clip of it, almost lost the drone, basically the same situation as your friends footage. Out of all the reasons not to buy it, this one takes the cake.

Can you get passed the height limit by launching from a higher elevation?
