would it be weird to write about how I talk to myself a lot? I have lots of thoughts about the media I consume, so sometimes I pace around my room talking to myself about theories and headcanons I have.

Just lie. I learned about my second year of high-school that if the essay asks you to write about a personal experience then just make up one. For example if the prompt asks you to write about something that made you feel sad than just say some shit like I was walking down the street and saw a homeless man asking for money and I saw everybody walking past him without stopping. That's not what made me sad. What made me sad was the fact that instead of him doing something about his situation he was asking for free handouts. Now that you have your concept for the prompt, build fluff around it until you hit word requirement.

(TLDR) make up fake scenario to fit prompt.
