The new TEXTSPLIT function in Microsoft Excel allows you to split across columns or down by rows. In this video I'll show you how you can even use multiple delimiter to split text into multiple cells.

Requires Microsoft 365. The TEXTSPLIT function will not be available in Excel 2021 and earlier versions.

Great video. I need to change my notifications so that every time you post a new video, a trumpet plays on my phone or something. So much better than the crazy nested formulas I used to use for this.

what if am splitting by row and some delimiters are a "-" and some are alt+enter? I tried {char(10), "_"} and it appears that the {} expect only items in quotation marks

When i create new Excel file on desktop by right click on new context menu .. how to set it to create a .xlsb file instead of .xlsx file??? Please help

Thank you for another cool video! I’ve been using Power Query for doing text splits because I work in AP and I get statements in PDF and sometimes the supplier has letters with invoice numbers for credit memos and as you know in Power Query you can very easily split by number to text as a preset. Is that possible with this feature?
