From the defensive towers erected by William I to secure his conquest of England, to the grand banqueting halls of the Tudors; the luxurious state rooms of the Stuarts and Georgians to the lovingly and expensively maintained residences of the modern royal family. In this three part series, we’ll explore 15 of the most historically important Royal Castles & Palaces of England.
Today we’ll explore 7 pleasure palaces built or bought by the Stuarts, the Georgians and Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. These iconic, historic manors are the official residences and holiday homes of the modern British royal family.

"Kensington Palace was named Children's Paradise"

Queen Victoria would have disagreed so much with this 😂

When England is in depression and chaos, I roam along the castles and walls. I stay in the library to connect with the past! 👩🏻‍🦰

I would love a video on Balmoral, there is both a romance and gothic mystery in the Scottish Highlands and having a distillery next door, good times.

I remember visiting Osbourne House when the series “Victoria” was pretty popular on ITV. It’s very nice.

I feel like keeping Victoria away from other children could have stunted her development

Hell no! These Modern Royals did Hampton Court dirty, by abandoning it and using it as a museum of something 😤!

The fact that Edward VII simply *gave* Osborne House to the nation on his coronation day says a lot.

If I had to choose a better residence between the two, I prefer Windsor then Buckingham Palace

I would love a video discussing what the royal court looks like today. I’m suspecting it doesn’t look anything like it did during the Tudor times or even the Georgian times. My question is how has it changed, why and what it looks like now.

My great-grandparents lived in an apartment on the Isle of Wight that were once quarters for Queen Victoria’s servants.

Will you be doing other empires estates? Like France or The Holy Roman Empire? I’d be really interested in Versailles history and Austrian palaces.

Would you consider doing series on royal households of lesser known kingdoms, like Eastern Europe?

I don't know why I find it so funny when I hear "The house was furnished luxuriously, BUT CHEAPLY with items purchased from aristocratic homes in France AFTER the revolution." 😆. Even Royalty enjoys a good bargain every once in awhile lol 😂!
