Beautifully filmed from the air, Royal Britain tells the story of the monarchy through the places that bore witness to murder, romance, politics, execution and celebration. We explore the sweeping landscapes where battles were fought for the crown and dynasties changed.

Current day Britain was eventually formed after centuries of war between England, Scotland and Wales. The castles, palaces and houses where these battles were masterminded and fought still exist to connect the thread of Royalty from the Norman invasion in 1066 up to the present House Of Windsor. This is a unique aerial look at the history of the monarchy that will inform and entertain.

This made me miss England so much! I visited last December and within my two weeks visit, I was able to go to a couple of places from this video: The Tower of London, York Minster, Old Royal Naval College (the site of the former Greenwich Palace), The Queen's House & Westminster Abbey. My sister lives about 10 minutes (walking distance) from The Queen's House so that area became one of my favorite places to stroll about in the mornings, as well as Greenwich park 😁 These buildings are as grand as you'd imagine they are. It felt so surreal being able to see them with my own eyes and be able to actually touch the stonework and whatnot.

I'd say that with so many treasures in England, a two-week visit is quite short! You will spend a couple of hours touring these sites, especially if you're a history enthusiast like me and next thing you know, it's night time 😅 but I am coming back again later this year and plan on staying for at least a month. I aim to visit as many places featured in this video as I can 🥰

This was a very well done documentary.
However, there were many times during the video where the music was way to loud and drowned out the Narrator.
If there was any way to go back and turn down the volume of the music, it would be so much nicer to absorb the historic narrative.
