Can we just agree that Jon M Chu was born to direct musical movies. From In The Heights to Wicked, two movies based on the biggest Broadway shows of all time, if you pulled it off correctly, then you get a free pass for more Broadway musical adaptations. I'd love to see Chu adapt "A Chorus Line" 🙌

Ariana's own history with Wicked definitely is the one particular fact I love! If I ever get to see this movie, it would be worth it and not just from the gorgeous practical sets, but seeing both Ariana and Cynthia bringing the chemistry between themselves and the world of Oz as well.

Secret: I've never heard of Wicked before this current promo tour. There's books, the movie, the musical...wow I have alot of catching up to do. This background story is mind blowing and thought provoking. I took my daughter to see the movie just because and i love it more than she does.. now I've found my new project 😊😊😊😊😊

If you are a fan of the musical and haven’t seen the movie yet (11/21/24),

1. There is a major nod to the musical during One Short Day. It’s wonderful.
2. During Popular, there’s a nod to a (and my favorite) Act 2 song. That almost got me misty eyed.

💚Went to the theatre on Monday evening for a Fandango/Amazon Prime premiere in IMAX and the experience was awe inspiring. I knew it was going to be good, but it literally blew me away (pun intended).

There is one new number when Galinda and Elphaba go to the emerald city with two extra special surprises, no spoilers here. The musical score is fantastic and moments of the movie were truly terrifying.

Arianna will definitely get the Golden Globe and at least an Oscar nomination. I have never thought that Erivo was a good casting choice because she really is too old to play Elphie and with the recent controversy I wanted to NOT like her, BUT Cynthia Erivo IS Elphaba.

The costumes, make-up, sets, music ... this is made to be seen on the big screen. Don't walk, don't run, Fly to the movies for this one. Fly my pretties, FLY!
