A couple of Delaware State Police troopers are in hot water after they harassed civilian Jonathan Guessford multiple times for expressing his free speech rights, even going so far as to hand down bogus charges just to show Guessford who's really in power. Why would they not break the law? They will face zero accountability for their crimes, and in fact it generally works out much better for them. They will get an extended paid vacation while the lawsuit proceeds, then taxpayers get to pay the settlement. Assault, battery, destruction of property, lying on police report, illegal arrest, false imprisonment - all of these crimes, and the only thing they face is a paid vacation. Qualified immunity has to be abolished for all 24 million US public employees. Only then can we start getting rid of the millions of "bad apples".
