For anyone following this tutorial in 2022 and beyond, the new shortcut to switch to different objects while in Sculpt mode or in Edit mode (mentioned at 14:30 in the video) is *Alt + Q.*
And it's now enabled by default; you don't have to go into preferences to turn it on.

Alternative method for resizing multiple objects simultaneously:
1. Apply the transformations for all objects you wish to scale.
2. Add an empty, select all the objects, and parent them to the empty
3. Scale the empty to your liking. Select the child objects, press Alt+P, and choose Clear And Keep Transform
4. Apply scale and you're done.
