Absolutely!!! My ex promised to call me while I was on a trip to California, he “forgot” then messaged me the next day with how he’d spent the day looking for new kittens with his family. I knew in my gut he was trying to hurt me on purpose

Yep 👋🏼 hi, I’m that girl. Several years he’s started fights right before my birthday. This year included. I walked away 4 days before and didn’t look back. I can buy my own gifts and I don’t wait until my birthday. 😏

14 years married to a man who didn't even acknowledge special days. As soon as I ask for a divorce he's on top of everything trying to get me to back off. His birthday, holidays etc. I always did something special for him and very rarely if ever I would get something in return, especially for xmas, aniversaries. It made me feel horrible.

He would fight and run away...pick up fights and didn't wanted to call and would leave me sad crying in eid even specially occasionally so he didn't have to give us money to let us buy clothes for muslim festivals and birthday anniversary kids birthday new year nothing he would exit house fighting and would ghost days.
And would celebrate it with his mother siblings and freinds and would leave me and my little boys alone making up lies stories in reality nothing happened like that even ge was saving that money and was spending it with his freinds and gf and his mother and siblings.
While we were left sad stuck in home left us with no money.
He was promising me mobile 8 years he didnt buy me nothing ..
Just lies.
I was told i dnt deserve a gift and there was no need for me and our children to have new clothes or gifts or gave any fun in this life.
He priorities his mother bro sus and his freinds and his new gfs.

I didn't have a good birthday until my birthday this year on 9-15 I left but he found out I was leaving the week before my birthday. I'm leaving but I had the best birthday. I had some great birthdays but I always remember him trying his best not to present me with a tangible gift or trying to make it like he got me something so fly but gave it away b/c I had an attitude about something else a month ago. My last bday I remember he came back after midnight & was like it’s all about me, he was so drunk and refuse to be nice even in bed he was like this the price you pay for thinking any day could be all about you, every other day will be about me for the rest of you living life… He was so full of himself and it didn’t even phase me frfr.
