Heart Disease Prevention: What You Need to Know

The best way to keep your heart healthy is to understand how each prevention tool works. In this video, Stanford experts in heart prevention begin with an illustration that might motivate you: cholesterol in the arteries of the heart. They share information about the genetics that can influence from birth your risk of heart disease. Heart disease prevention, however, is not all genetics: By the time you’re an adult, these experts say, 80 percent of your risk is the daily choices you make for diet, exercise and smoking.

Cholesterol is in your entire circulatory system. Why is there clogging of the ARTERIES close to the heart and not in the veins or capillaries in your nose, ear or knee?
This is because the pumping of the heart can cause hairline cracks. Blood pressure is highest in this area. These hairline cracks are repaired by a sticky substance LP(a), to prevent from getting worse.

Why don't animals have cardiovascular disease?
Almost all animals produce large amounts of vitamin C in their liver.
On average 35 mg/kg body weight. So we have to take at least about 3000 mg of vitamin C ourselves because humans cannot make vitamin C. You get strong collagen tissue, strong connective tissue, strong arteries. Hairline cracks no longer form and arterial plaque is removed and burned in the liver.

Repair with cholesterol is therefore a consequence of a deficiency of vitamin C.
So do not take statins, but vitamin C in a high dose: at least 3 grams, better: 6 to 10 grams

I was looking at you list of what a heart attack looked like and none of those things were happening. I had a 90% LAD blockage. I passed the treadmill test because I didn’t have an irregular heartbeat. I was getting a Burn in my arms on the underside and in the left side of my neck. No pain. EKG was normal too. What is most puzzling is that i eat a rather healthy diet but i starting to look for what was causing inflammation and i am not using those things. They saw a lot of inflammation about 5 or more years before but didn’t know what i should do about it so it was jaunt mentioned as something they saw on an MRI. I do not use any oils, do not drink milk or use salad dressing. I wasn’t eating much meat and only fish, chicken or a good quality hamburger about 1 per week. I was using a plain yogurt of very good quality and buttermilk. I have found that i have a hard time keeping salad at home since it spoils very easily here even in the winter. What do i eat and have i been eating is the question i use beans, brown rice, potatoes, apples, no white flour and very little sugar, no roasted nuts. I read what is in food and don’t but much for prepared foods since i buy mainly fresh or frozen foods. I am puzzled as that would give me so much problems but i am trying to kick out anything that might be an issue even in limited exposure. I can buy kale and other fresh greens in the store and that is wonderful. Right now blueberries and other such fruit are available and we are using them fresh. We also use papaya, mango when they are at a good price. I have had to slow down since February but i can walk faster now with out the tips of my fingers getting “tingly” and a bit numb but that is my canary in the coal mine to tell me my heart isn’t getting enough blood. I am part of the Adventist health study 2 and i need to update them. I hope this is helpful. Female, 66 years

Best treatment for atherosclerosis: Vitamin C

Why do only coronary arteries clog with cholesterol and not veins or small capillaries?
If "high cholesterol" is the cause of clogging your arteries, why doesn't it clog the arteries in your finger, your nose, and the smallest capillaries in your toe?

Scurvy = No vitamin C in your diet.
Symptom: Your blood vessels break and you bleed to death. Think of the sailor of the past.

Scurvy of the heart = Just enough vitamin C from food.
Symptom: Arteries around the heart are not strong enough to resist high blood pressure. Damage is repaired with cholesterol LP(a) to prevent worse. After years of repair, your arteries become clogged.

A guinea pig can also not synthesize vitamin C by themself, just like humans, and needs supplementing 50 mg vitamin C every day and weighs only 1 kg.
1 orange = 50 mg vitamin C.
Do you really think that 75 mg vitamin C for YOU is enough? What is your weight?

Enough vitamin C supplement of at least 3000 mg. per day gives strong and flexible arteries. Cholesterol is not needed as a repair agent. Cholesterol in your coronary arteries is broken down and burned in your liver.

These guys had me until one of them said: "Throw away the yolk." Man, that's the tastiest part of the egg! Sure it's relatively high in cholesterol, but it's also high in viatamins, minerals and amino acids. Ultimately, it's about balance.

egg whites contain methionine. isn't there a relationship between cancer and animal protein containing methionine ?
I use egg yolks for the antioxidants and throw the whites.

Lame, dated dietary advice from guidelines worshipers, pushing - by their own description - the same carb-heavy guidelines we've had "for decades."

Eat fruit, gulp skim milk, and down other glucose-spikers, even 9 teaspoons of sugar a day (for an adult male) - one size fits all, regardless of size or diabetes status?

If diabetes is a risk factor, as claimed here, then it should be controlled to the extent possible, not overlooked in order to pay lip service to ham-handed guidelines.
FAIL.
