I love the glyph magic system. The existance of these combos mean that you can go really quite far and advanced with them, the way Belos seems to be able to use them implies that they can be used in ways that don’t require you to toss away a paper. Drawing them on the ground is one thing, but what happens if they’re carved into other things? What if there are other ways to prevent them from using up material? Belos seems to imply such. Luz could become a really powerful rune witch if she put her mind to it! I love it :D

The staff he uses is most likely a rudimentary “glyph computer” as it were.

I realize now how belos was able to perform spells without making a glyph: the artificial staff has the same red energy that the petrify combo and the zombie combo do, considering you can make glyphs on literally anything, it stands to reason that this staff probably transmits the glyph combos "information" to wherever he needs it to be, like how hunters original staff would teleport him with red energy, allowing him to deploy these spells without even moving.

Man, I really wish we saw more of glyphs in general.

From what we know; there’s 4 glyphs representing the primary elements of fire, ice, plant life and light. And different affinities and the such are produced by
Combining any of the 4 glyphs.

Also; notice how a combination made water? We saw in the flashback to eda’s time in hexside when she met rain, we saw a student use water during the coven V Wild witches match; this most likely mean basically all forms of magic are either one of the 4 glyphs or a combination; that might seem obvious but that means luz would be able to use abomination magic, illusion magic, and healing magic too.
