I have a high yield savings account with American Express, and I use the interest to pay my monthly subscription fees to Amazon, Netflix and Hulu.

Capital One is my main bank, initially I went with them after Citi sold all their branches. Occasionally, need brick and mortar support. Marcus is also at 4.3%, I have some funds there. I have several t-bill ladders with Treasury Direct. Averages about 5.3% and incurs no state income tax, though I live in Texas so that wasn't a personal consideration.

I have a regular Vanguard brokerage account that i only use for it's attached money market account which currently has a interest rate 5.07%, other than that i keep the funds at my Ally bank account which currently has a 4.% interest rate.

First Foundation Bank - 5% APY. They also have some branches in SoCal and a few other states, in case you need to get brick-and-mortar services like getting certified/cashier's checks

Would something like USFR be another good option for parking money for savings/emergency funds? Or would a hysa be better?

Nice video! I have about 50k in capital one high yield savings but this is my emergency fund/down payment on a home money. If I wasn’t buying a home soon I’d just put 40k of it in VOO or something but for someone sitting on cash for a down payment a HYSA is a great option to make some decent cash while keeping it parked.

I have capital one HYSA. You earn 4.35% daily. It’s nice. Only negative I can say is paying taxes at end of year earned from it and transfer fee takes a week or two from HYSA to external bank. I’m using the 4.35% interest I make and transferring into my FXAIX account

I like Bask Bank, division of Texas Capital Bank. 4.85% apy. No fees, no account minimum. And they also have an account where you can earn American Airlines miles instead of interest.

If interest compounds daily and is paid monthly. Is this the same as compounding daily and accruing monthly? What's the difference between that and the bread version where compounds and accrual is daily?
