Remedies for Restless Leg Syndrome

Are you experiencing restless leg syndrome and still searching for relief?

In today's video, we're going to dig a little deeper into some potential causes of restless leg syndrome and what to do about it.

For starters, iron deficiency, underactive thyroid, chronic kidney disease, fibromyalgia, magnesium, phosphorus and calcium imbalances as well as sodium and potassium imbalances can propagate restless leg syndrome.

If you know the above are the not the cause of your restless legs, then you may want to look at supporting dopamine activity.

It can feel like restless leg therapy is a complex issue, which it can be. However, many people will see great results with hydration, exercise, iron, magnesium, tyrosine, even L-theanine.

L-theanine can decrease the excess glutamate activity that can potentiate restless legs, as well as increase GABA activity which supports the parasympathetic, rest relaxation response of the body.

Did you ever do that video on how RLS can be an early sign of cardiovascular issues? I can't find it on your page. thanks.

If tyrosine is stimulating to me, is it still helpful for RLS if I take it in the morning? I know that's counter to what you are saying here, but if it is too stimulating, then I can't take it at night.... thank you, this is great info.

What I have found is taking melatonin (sleeping aid) about 30 minutes before going to bed. I don't get the jerking leg,
or RLS problems.

Thanks Doctor. Can you tell us when to take tyrosine (I assume in the evening sometime) and how much to take?
