I am your neighbor, northeast PA. We are getting rain right now. Thankfully i too have AC. I am still fighting with my S17 😕😩i hope i will get it right one of the days. It is so nice watching you spin. I am the same way on my drop spindle, the fiber "melts" in your hand when it's humid... lovely lol

You want to use a drop spindle when you already have that wonderful Louet I use the walking wheel to spin the shorter staple wool and I'm thinking about getting a Louet S17 or S10 as a dedicated wheel for plying.
