So we were told by several family members/friends not to go this year for our daughters first ever trip due to all the changes.. But I gotta tell yah. We really enjoyed ourselves! We're not very bothered by the mask rule as a side note as well. My idea is as things start to become allowed again (fireworks, parades, etc.) we will really appreciate them more as we visit more. As a sidenote, we do only like 2 1/2 hours away so we'll be able to visit more often than most. So maybe if WDW is a BIG, long distance, rare trip- you MAY want to wait so you & your family can experience ALL the magic ☺

Here is another Disney planning tip. If you are Active Duty/Retired Military talk to a certified Disney Travel agent to Get the Military Salute Room Discount. Then buy your Military Salute park hopper tickets from your local base MWR facility. You can only do one or the other through a travel agent. You cant do both. To get the most money back on the trip do the hotel through a travel agent and tickets through MWR. If you do not live close to a base. Camp Pendleton and Patrick Air Force Base take phone orders and will FedEx your tickets to you. By going this route I was able to get Park Hopper tickets for only $72 a day per a person and I booked a moderate preferred room for 30% off a night (It came out to I paid for 3 nights and got the 4th night free). I have researched this a lot if you have questions I'll try to answer to the best of my ability.

Don't go this year! No parades. No fireworks. No character meet and greets. Lots of closed stores and restaurants. No trams to your car. Rude employee yelling at you because of the slightest mask infraction. Yet they are charging the same high ticket prices. Till covid is over, save your vacation money.
