Cheap DIY EV Conversion - Wiring it all together! Turns on with original key!

Hey everyone! Today we’re installing a custom fuse block in the Cheap DIY electric vehicle conversion! This is so all of our new custom components can be turned on when the car starts, while also adding fuse protection to each new item. Not to mention it’s much easier to connect things to these quick disconnect terminals instead of it all running to one of the battery terminals. It neatens it up while making it safer and easier to work on! Let me know what you think!

In New Zealand we are not allowed to mount batteries in front of the forward shock towers. It's seen as a crash zone

Hi! Interesting to see your progress with contactors and fuses. Please share more as you go along. A few questions: What kind of batteries will be in the final build?
Also - do you have to take care of any CAN bus/messages from the original electric system?

what are you expecting to get for range for the lead acid setup and what are you expecting to get for rage with the Lion setup?
also what do you plan on doing for heat, AC ?
i wonder much running heat will shorten the range and how much running AC will shorten range

The problem with loading the front of the car with lead acid batteries is whats going to happen in an accident. There will be a hell of a mess and chemical hazard if any of them are in the crumple zones.

I plan on converting a Pontiac solstice to electric for a fairly low budget, any products you recommend? Ideally, I'd like to keep the a.c., radio, heater, and dash to keep working, maybe even the other systems if possible. Thank you to anyone who can help me in advance

Only stupid people convert their car into electric
