One thing that helped me was having different sketchbooks for various purposes. A large multipurpose dry media sketchbook to use at home only. A small travel drawing sketchbook. A cartoon-only sketchbook. A watercolor sketchbook.

Just a suggestion; if you want to try drawing realistically, go on a YouTube video pause it, and draw what you paused! It’s really fun for me and has helped with my ability of drawing faces/realistically.
