This is way better than getting the cheapest Amazon tablets. The iPad 9 goes to show it's not about the race to the bottom. It's about how do you make a great tablet experience in a reasonable price.

No one ever mentions that the iPad and iPad Pro 12.9 are the only 2 modern day iPads that feature a 4:3 aspect ratio. For me this is HUGE. Most games / apps I use give me black borders on any other iPad, and I couldn't handle it. So I returned it, and I'm still using my older iPad Mini.

Considering Universities and K-12 Schools in the world are _Filled_ with the base model iPad, I don't think people will mind "Another modest update" and increased storage for the same price as previous generation.

Great review. I would advise those looking for a more modern looking iPad to wait for the next iPad Air (skip the Air 4), as the current one doesn’t even have Center Stage, and costs a whopping $270 more than the iPad 9, with the same 64GB base storage.

I'd recommend using a pop filter while recording voice over or a low cut eq on your voice. My speakers woofer were freaking out at every P you pronounced :D

Is the iPad Pro really 3x greater than the entry level iPad? Thanks to the limitations of iPadOS I say no. I really wish apple would reserve some “pro” features for folks who have M1 iPad Pro like an iPad version of FCPX or Logic.
The 9th gen iPad is incredibly valuable for $329. Especially considering that they hiked up the price of the mini to $499.

Looking for a good tablet just for watching movies and Web browsing but that screen aspect ratio makes this tablet a no good.

I have a question that no one seems to ever answer. When using Youtube from the Safari app and have a video running, can I open another tab to open another YT video without the first one stopping?
I do this a lot to compare audio. I have an old iPad but can't do this. The only place it seems I can only do this is on my Macbooks. The only problem with that is one is my main working Macbook Pro that never leaves its spot, and the other one is my older 2015 Macbook Air that the battery is starting to fail. I also can't seem to get comfy with it while sitting in my couch lol

Does this still resonate with the internal speaker? I still have iPad Air 2 which resonates with the speaker so much that it's uncomfortable to hold in hands when watching video.
