Many people ask, "Do I need to be baptized to be saved?" The Bible shows the importance of water baptism and that it's not just a ceremony! It is an act of faith in the Gospel!
We see that the Israelites, as a type and shadow for us, ALL of them were baptized in the water and in the cloud as they passed into the wilderness.
1 Corinthians 10:1 For I would not, brethren, have you ignorant, that our fathers were ALL under the cloud, and ALL passed through the sea; 2 and were ALL BAPTIZED unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea.
Do you realize water baptism is a "command" for every believer of Christ?
Matthew 28:19 GO YE, therefore, and make disciples of ALL the nations, BAPTIZING THEM into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: 20 teaching them to OBSERVE ALL things whatsoever I COMMANDED you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 10:48 And he COMMANDED them to be BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus Christ.
Act 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes; and was BAPTIZED, HE and ALL his, immediately.
