I'm in my 60's and gays have always been around and then went about there business and struggled with their lives like anybody else. I lived in Vancouver Canada with it's high gay west end population and ran into and worked with these people a lot and it was a live and let live situation. I never gave that a community a second thought until now and they are really starting to piss me off. What I don't understand is why a lot of gays who are just living their lives causing no trouble are not speaking out about this because the gays who mind their business could get caught up in a back lash that seems to brewing.

That said, it seems this case has more nuance than what seems apparent, because with some research, other than the breaking news headlines, it seems that Imane Khelif is indeed a biological female with a rare condition that gives many male attributes to a female, so I'd ask for a bit more research on everyone's part. And again with all respect Mr Lofton, I'm 100% with you in the fight against all this evil today in the world with these ideologies and such but let's remain charitable and calculated. I know this is unpopular but I don't believe there should be women's boxing at all. Non-combat sports are great but women shouldn't be beaten up by anyone, whether male or another female.

Respectfully Mr Michael, I must advise you to look into this athlete's situation more closely. This athlete has a medical condition that results in her body reproducing insane amounts of testosterone called DSD . Her home country, Algeria, forbids changing the sex assigned at birth in the identification documents. The doctor assigned her female at birth. However, the disorder makes it so she looks masculine.

I understand that Imane's birth records state that she is female, in a country where transgenderism is illegal. I have also read that she has menstrual cycles; however, she also possesses both X and Y chromosomes. This is quite possible. In an article attributed to Gerry Cacanindin, biologists have said "she has a rare condition known as differences of sex development or DSD". He wrote, "Because very few people actually know the mechanisms of DSD, let us then try to look at the facts based on Khelif’s boxing record. Does she actually possess an unfair advantage? Khelif’s amateur boxing record is 51-9, with zero draws and six wins via knockout. That is far from stellar or domineering if you only scored 6 knockouts out of 40-plus wins. That places her on the average tier among world-class boxers. In all her 51 fights there is no information to suggest that an opponent of hers was ever severely injured."
