This scene beautifully shows the evil and utter wickedness of thanos but yet the fact that gamora tries to look to see and he stops her speaks volumes to him still being good and the idea of him doing this out of “mercy” and doesn’t want to taint her

it's surprisingly good of Thanos to make Gamora concentrate on the blade rather then her people get killed because he doesn't want her to see it which i find it adorable.
