War is frightening because we may suffer and die. However, life is generally unpredictable and loved ones may die suddenly. Seems there are no winners on Earth. World leaders should hash it out in a ring and get the anger and hostility out of their systems, preventing any future World Wars and even smaller battles. I think the world would be a peaceful place to live.

We're probably in the safest country in the world. Paraguay. We only use 10% of the electricity we produce, all from hydro electric power plants. Paraguay has 7 million inhabitats, but produce food for about 40 million, so finding food should not be a problem. With temperatures between 0 degrees celcius at its lowest in winter, and 50 degrees celcius at the hottest in summer, some nuclear winter would make it a lot more enjoyable. We're also not part of NATO or enemies with any other country or grouping, and have very little underground resources any of them could benefit from. We're also about 800 km from the sea, as the crow flies. Besides that, we live among the friendliest, most helpful people in the world.

Tbh I might head straight for a spot I think the bombs might drop. Getting instantly vaporized might be better than dying slowly from radiation or living in a post apocalyptic world.

I chose southern Brazil as my hideout. It was colonized mostly by Europeans, has low crime, a mild climate, good soil, plenty of water, an abundance of fruit trees, good food, friendly people, and beautiful mountains and beaches. The best part is that Brazil does not go around meddling in the affairs of other nations. Nobody is mad at Brazil.
