Welcome to my channel! This is my story about my condition Aquagenic Pruritus. I am much more than just the girl allergic to water and I can't wait to share more stories.

I'm right there with you. It's such a miserable experience. Just wanting to peel your skin off and just crying because it hurts so bad is so defeating. My quality of life has become so dismal that the idea of unaliving myself (I would never do it) seems like a good way to stop the pain. Water, humidity, sweat, tears... Every basic human situation is just misery. 

I'm a little late to the party, but I hope the beta-alanine helped. I'm starting it as of today, so hopefully it goes well. Anything to lessen the pain is worth trying

I learned how to live with this condition and to cope with it’s pain.
How people react to this is what bothers me the most, most people are like it’s not a big deal, every one itches from time to time, so I am ether imagining things or simply overreacting and making a big deal out of it!!
The thing is no one will ever understand how painful and frustrating this is unless they suffered from it themselves.

This condition is debilitating physically and mentally. The stinging and burning of skin for 2hrs is no joke. Thank God for "Beta Alanine" without it so many would still be suffering. So many still are without knowing it exists. Thanks for raising awareness and sharing your story.

I know I was one of the MANY people confused by your condition when you first explained it to me, and I so proud that you want to raise more awareness for this condition. For people here with Aquagenic Puritus. I have a severe form of this. Beta Alanine is a supplement that can stop a reaction and has worked for many people that actually have Aquagenic Puritus or Aquadynia. Take enough of it that it makes your lips start to tingle and no more (taking more will cause vomiting). Effect of Beta Alanine takes 15 to 45 minutes to take effect. You can take it 30 minutes before contact with water to prevent a reaction. Feel free to message me if you have this and are looking for more information on it or Beta Alanine. Cheers...

I have suffered from AP for 27 years now, and thankfully have found that Beta Alanine makes the symptoms subside...such a relief for the past two years not to be always trying to jump out of my skin! Sooo grateful for this little amino acid ❣️
