I am going to tell you right now, I had more problems in the girls bathroom in high school from the bully girls than I have ever had in any bathroom I shared with males, be they trans or otherwise. It's great to see that those bully girls grew up to be bully parents.

I remember these arguments in the advent of the AIDs epidemic. A young boy was discriminated against by people such as these just because he contracted the virus FROM A BLOOD TRANSFUSION. He was a Hemophliac and got treated as if he was engaged in "other" activites.

We need single-seater, gender-neutral bathrooms with lockable doors.
Conversely, make stalls go down to the freaking floor. Make bathrooms "with urinals" and "without urinals." People can then go where they feel comfortable relieving themselves.

I’m sorry. I may have missed something. It’s been my understanding our children are way more apt to be molested/abused by “good upstanding trusted people”. Like pastors, counselors, teachers, care givers, parents and politicians. We should ban all of them from our kids’ bathrooms. I have yet to hear of a case of a trans gender person assaulting a child in a bathroom. Please. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Using the restroom of your choice is not a special right, lady. It really isn't. It is just common courtesy to let people pee in peace.

Get rid of urinals and make stalls that are actually private (no 1” door gaps) and make all bathrooms non-gendered

I can’t get over the bathroom thing. When I lived in France, the school I went to had shared bathrooms between the boys and girls. The staff and faculty had their own bathroom. I’ll admit, being from America and 9, I was surprised but I got over it quickly. I was there for two reasons, do my business and wash my hands. If there happened to be a boy doing the same at the urinals, I looked away. Mind you this was twenty years ago so I don’t know if that’s still a thing.

Ladies bathroom and assault them… so that means they are ok with a trans man using the ladies room… I highly doubt it. You can’t have it both ways. What happens when the trans woman gets beat up on the men’s bathroom or the ladies think a man (trans man) is in theirs. I know many trans people and it’s not about sex or violence for them. They don’t go in to bathrooms to hurt people. They go their to pee and wash their hands!!

The BIGGEST threat to our democracy is not bigotry; it’s the abundance of otherwise “intelligent” people who ignorantly brag about being “not political” and say asinine things like “My vote doesn’t matter.” Dude, if your vote really didn’t matter, then why have Republicans been spending so much time passing/promoting laws that make it more difficult for people to vote, and gerrymandering districts to disenfranchise minorities, while also opposing/stopping legislation like the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act?
Non-voters, by sitting out elections, you are allowing hateful hating hatemongers to amass power and endanger others.
There’s no point in condemning bigotry unless you’re voting and/or actively encouraging others to vote. Democracy is not a spectator sport. Use it or lose it.
