That's why I haven't been back to Cartagena in a long time...the harassing in the streets and beaches is annoying... but if you can blend a bit, then you can have an enjoyable experience. Food is amazing, the beaches and islands are beautiful and the nightlife is really good... bad thing is the opportunists in every corner... Colombia is a beautiful country spoiled sometimes by a few people...

In Cartagena I ended up missing my stop on a minibus and ended up in some neighbourhood on the outskirts at dawn. The streets were pretty crowded and everyone looked at me as I walked away from the bus stop, then some teens followed me on their bikes, but all in all I think everyone was more curious than anything else. I found my way to the main highway and grabbed a taxi that was already occupied by another passenger, she was telling the taxi driver how they'd burglarised her apartment recently.
