How a Small Engine Carburetor Works (Float Type)

In this video I go over the basic understanding on how a float type small engine carburetor works. I also explain the different parts of the carburetor that may be handy if you are rebuilding or cleaning a carburetor yourself. This particular carburetor is off of a 6 HP Briggs and Stratton generator engine. I hope this video is helpful!

The section where you move from showing us where the jet is to explaining that a carburetor works off a vacuum is spot on terrific. My snow blower's carburetor is the only one I've ever had to work on, and that explains a lot.

Just got into Coleman Mini Bikes, and this video answered every question I had. Newer Colemans come with an EPA Jet Screw that can't be removed (sloped so it can only be tightened). It is separate from the bowel screw.

MY CARBURATOR WAS OVERFLOWING I MUST OF PUT THE PIN ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE JET NEEDLE AND I NOW KNOW I FORGOT TO CLEAN OUT THE BOTTOM SCREW THANK YOU VERY MUCH... I SHOULD HAVE MY GENERATOR BACK UP AND RUNNING THANKS TO YOUR VIDEO. WHAT WOULD WE DO WITH OUT YOU TUBE, I ALWAYS FIND THE RIGHT ANSWERS HERE.
