My nephew was a fentanyl addict that escaped death 2x. I begged my brother to intervene and his son has been clean for 6 mos and has a great relationship with him again. He has gained weight, new haircut, new clothes, repairing his teeth, got a car, and has good job. Do NOT give up on these addicts, I'm hear to tell you there's hope! The addict needs to connect with his/her family somehow. The pain comes from there.

I’ve been off fentanyl for 6 months now! It’s been tough but I completely understand what he says when he talks about stopping the pain. I originally took mine for physical pain but I soon realised it stopped the mental pain too and that’s when I was hooked. The pain to come out the other side was 100x worse but it’s possible! I hope this guy gets the help he needs, he’s clearly very intelligent!

You got this bro. I just hit 6 minths clean from fentanyl and meth. I was a poly user for years doing anything i could get my hands on. It does get better but you have to want to get better. No ones gonna save you but you.

I just had several surgeries recently, when the doctor told me that she going to give me fentanyl because of the pain during my surgery, when it hit me I knew why so many was addicted to it, as I was starting to feel the full affects that's when I realized why it was taking so many for that dark ride....I remember that I started singing as they were cutting me open....she ask me what was I singing....it was Duran Duran ....Ordinary didn't want that dark horse ride....I understood immediately

As someone in recovery it is really difficult not to medicate considering the way of the world lately, if humanity didn't suck so bad we wouldn't feel the need to.

I will never judge anyone’s life experience or what they are going through. I can only speak for myself. I don’t watch much tv at all. I got locked out of my social media a few years ago and never desired to start it back. My next step is leaving my phone in a different room when at home. Hopefully you have a decent person or two in your regular life. I promise you that if you disconnect from all the negativity that’s being forced on us and let your perspective of people come primarily from real people in the real world you’ll slowly see things a little differently.
