Learn what Medicare does not cover as well as the full Medicare coverage. For example, Medicare Part A/B, does not cover all medical services, including hearing, dental or vision. So today as a quick video just wanted to talk about what Medicare does not cover. So while Medicare does cover your health care, it generally doesn't cover long term care. And that's an important distinction. So under certain conditions, particularly after a hospitalization to treat an acute care episode, Medicare will pay for medically necessary a skilled nursing facility or home health care. But Medicare generally does not cover costs for custodial care. As an example, care that helps you with the activities of daily living, such as dressing and bathing. So to cover those costs, you will have to either rely on your savings any money you have saved up any long term care insurance you might have, or Medicaid. But for Medicaid, you will need to meet the income and asset requirements. If you earn too much money or you have too much in assets, you may not be eligible for Medicaid. So traditional Medicare often or also, I should say doesn't recover routine dental or eye care, and some items such as dentures or hearing aids. So if those are items, or types of care that would be important to you, you can definitely look into other ways of getting those covered.
