I think you are a bit overly excessive in the things you like and there needs to be a balance. Black, white, spheres, balck and white abstract etc.

The things you get at IKEA and Amazon, H&M etc aren’t ancient. They’re just modern tchotchkes. We all love them but as I’ve aged I’m more considerate in my purchases because I’ve made so many mistakes that went to Goodwill. It’s hard because they are beautiful vases and decor items out there today.

Here's an alternate way to get use out of an old wooden ladder. I took my Dad's old ladder (about 70 years old!) and spray painted it with exterior paint (several coats). I use it outside during the summer and put plants/flowers on it. It's integrated into my garden and I love it!

I have an antique trunk at the end of my bed with extra linens. It's my great great grandmother's and she immigrated from Germany with it at the turn of the century.

Well i like to keep memorable sentimental items as a decor to me it is better then following trends and constantly changing decor, yes i love sculptures always been not bcz its trending now. But personlised decor&spaces getting trendy i see😂

That orange stem in the vase is awesome especially with the black backdrop of the fireplace. Love the ancient items. The journey philosophy is one that takes away the guilt of trying something that may or may not work for you for a time and then accept it’s time to you deserve a change, take what you’ve learnt and expand it or take it in a new direction.

I absolutely love antique and vintage but I abhor peoples homes that look like a big flea market with everything possible crammed inside. I think no matter what someone’s style, you can still be tidy vs living in piles of stuff. I think what I’ve learned the best from you is to make your home have style, character, polish, be purposeful, individuality, no matter what “Label” others put on it.
