I own both and i fully agree with everything you said from a non biased standpoint.. stock motor to headwork the zx10 will rule in roll racing or landspeed where trapspeed matters instead of e.t. But for full builds beyond headwork you cant beat Suzuki.

Can you do the same topic video but with the ZX14 /Busa?

It’s the truth Suzuki is a better built bike for drag racing!

Good Vid Chris. Can you compare the Busa to the Zx14.

Peak numbers look really good on paper and thats about it. Do you happen to have a 190ish hp pull from a gsxr saved? Would be interesting to see an overlay of 2 similar peak pulls to compare the curves.

Also, yes there might be some opinion in this, but a lot of experience as well. Another great video

Could you go into why the K5 - K8 are the choice of bike (GSX-R) to build and the advantages of the K3 & K4 bottom ends compared to the L's and newer bottom ends...

Gsxr= Chevy
Zx10r= Ford
R&d and aftermarket support plays a huge part in any build. Both can be made to go quick and fast. One will cost $1000 to do while the other will take $4000(example). Kawasaki dominates in road racing Suzuki dominates on the dragstrip. Great video

The aftermarket determines the bikes potential. 6mm billet cranks or even 4mm have been around since 2001 for the GSXR 1000. Just look at the drag/classes. Way cheaper to build a Suzuki than Kawasaki too. Always has been this way for big bore strokers Busa and GSXR.

Ford vs Chevy Zx10 is a beast. I love mine.

I’ve had a lot of bikes and my 5th gen zx10 is very hard to ride at the drag strip, I was faster on my bmw butttt the zx10 is a beast for a roll and hard to beat. !

Kawai are like Mopar. Great horsepower from the factory but sensitive engines. Suzuki are the small block Chevy of motorcycles. Bullet proof engines and respond well to mods.

Your speaking nothing but the truth Chris, I’m a 20 plus year drag racer started on Kaws after a couple years running them at the track. I saw the light and switched to Suzuki was the better choice for a street based no bar bike on the track. Great vids man keep up the good work, SUZUKI NATION RULES!!

As a Kawi fan and 18 10R owner, I can accept this. For the average rider with limited funds the cost, performance and reliability ratio swings in Suzuki favor. But with enough money anything is possible ( thinking of Stotz racing success with Honda ). I would like to see more development for Kawasaki and the new 1K's to bring some different mfgs out to the strip tho.
