Delete the stock LG Youtube app first. There is a new version of the Dev mode and Youtube AdFree. Just update using the WebOS App!

Worked like a charm, thanks a lot! If you experience an issue when the webOS manager can't install the apps (you hit Install and nothing happens or the TImeout error appears after some time), make sure that you have connected the TV to the manager - I had exactly this issue, which disappeared once I realized the TV hadn't yet been connected to the computer.

I followed the steps. I managed to install the device manager, and Homebrew app, and it's connecting properly with my tv because I can launch the Homebrew app from my PC with the device manager app. But I couldn't install Youtube Adfree, or any of the other application including Homebrew Channel Updater. It says An error occured during installation: Unable to exec luna-send-pub: Error: Failed to call getIDs.
My tv is LG UF680T from 2015. Software version: 04.26.35. Any ideas to solve this?

Thx alot man, for anyone having trouble to install the apps, update to the latest webOS manager and uninstall the default youtube app on your tv before installing youtubeadfree

After login on TV developerApp and enable it, it says: "update to webOS cli 1.12.4 or higher" otherwise i cant install apps with the device manager. Anyone with the same issue? I`ve got the newest software update on the TV. (LG C8)

Gracias, la verdad es que funciona, es real.
Tenía dudas mientras lo iba haciendo pero valió la pena.Hay un tema con los archivos del github que estan en el enlace, el programa es una actualización vieja, tienen que instalar la última y lo mismo con la versión de webos en tv.
Un tema también es hacerte una cuenta "developer" (desarrollador) según tu región, osea crear una cuenta tu país, aclaro porque porque el link del video es un USA, después ingresar esa cuenta en la tv, descargar la app (developer mode) e ingresar la misma cuenta que creamos al iniciarla, después siguen el video y queda.

running WebOS 4.9.0 and the youtube one wont install via available it installs then goes back to "install". When I download it from Github and install it manually it gets stuck at "please wait" what am I doing wrong?

Lol it worked it first try! I am so sick of YT adds, they are so agressive now, constantly, CONSTANTLY ads.... you used to skip after 5 secs, now you have to wait 1 minute!!!! before skipping!!!! Hell nah, Now I am 100% ad free thanks
