Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro are amazing phones.. that are terrible iPhones.

There is NO NEED for tech companies to make yearly releases. There should be 2 year cycle. Simple as that. Car manufacturers make 1 model usually 6 years, after 3 years they come up with "facelift".
Let's be honest, there is no need to update from 15, but even from 14 and maybe 13. Samsung is similar (a bit more improved, but still).

Why wouldn’t you personally just keep the 15 Pro at that point. No compelling reason to “upgrade” to the base 16. 15 Pro is better than base 16 in pretty much every metric.

No bullshit I’ve been using the pro versions since the 11 and I upgrade every year. This year I went with the teal 16 plus and I actually love it. It didn’t take long to get use to 60hz again

I've been using iOS 18 on an iPhone SE 2020, personally, I think it's amazing! (Except the photos app). I haven't had any major bugs other than the alarm issue.
