It’s probably apple scheming so people just buy a new phone or something. That sucks for repairs though!

Like I said originally, you should be able to spot weld it off and spot welded back on using a micro spot welder just like replacing the crystal in the Face ID

The real question is how likely are you going to break it? I’ve dropped A LOT of phones over the years and never actually broke one (knock on wood).

So to where repairability is a concern, its not really worrisome to me.
