3:08 What Qualifies as a Chronic Disability?
3:42 Symptoms of Gulf War Undiagnosed Illness or Chronic Multi-Symptom Illness

The VA's definition of Gulf War veterans for the purposes of presumption for Gulf War Syndrome includes veterans who served on active duty in the Armed Forces in the Southwest Asia theater of operations, Afghanistan, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, or Jordan during the Persian Gulf War.

If you were a veteran of any of these theaters of operations and returned home with a multi-symptom illness and no good medical explanation for what's going on with you, there are several theories of recovery for VA compensation benefits that may apply to your claim.

If you are unable to work due to your service-connected disabilities, you may qualify for total disability based on individual unemployability (TDIU). Contact us to see if you are eligible. Give us a call and receive a free legal consultation.

We have helped thousands of veterans all over the United States and we only charge a fee if we win your case.

I have a lot of odd ball illnesses. I was diagnosed with IBS. and migraines. Both are 10% each. I have chronic rhinitis but not . I have sleep apnea diagnosed but not service connected.

I used to have severe menstrual cramping and heavy bleeding. I am older now and since had menopause, then I got endometrial cancer (cancer in the lining of my womb). I had a total hysterectomy, and they also removed both ovaries and tube.

I'm a Gulf War vet. I went to Desert Storm. I was there in 1991.

My service medical record is full of all kinds of visits for headaches, gastritis, fatigue, and things that seem to be all over the place.

I have all symptoms except the last ones that you mentioned. The problem is, I am a vertran but I was in the gulf war area as a contractor. We are already looking at my VA claim but nothing has come to fruition as of this time.

was over in kuwait 1991. as far as exposure, lets see being given more shots than they told us we were getting before going over and having no records of what they gave us. being part of the company nbc team and upon setting up on location when we got there we detected chemical agents and sounded the alarm, our company commander showed up chewed us out and were ordered to stand down, the entire company was assembled and all nbc gear etc., was turned in and the nbc teams disbanded. lastly upon setting up in a new location for motor pool we had to clean up the area, we were removing what appeared to be old oil and stuff right before formation so we had to rush, i spilled a bucket full all over me, everywhere it spilled on me i wound up with blisters and considering i was a long time mechanic was used to such things so i shouldn't have reacted like that, so i went on sick call for it. short story is i was court martialed for going on sick call so never did again. only time my entire 10 years in i saw an actual doctor and since GWS wasn't a recognized thing yet i was misdiagnosed. it wasn't until after i got out at the age of 30 that i noticed things not right and eventually heard of GWS and then years after i got out before you could even see a doctor for any of it and/or make a claim. at the age of 30 for instance i shouldn't have had a noticeable drop in memory, but i've had it ever since the gulf, etc. tried to get the V.A. to see me for years but they would never even let me in the building in N.J. and would say if you didn't have existing documentation saying it was service connected they won't see you, period. can't get proof if the V.A. refuses to see you or recognize GWS, or anything. moved to W.V. 4 years ago, last year we saw a flier in the V.A. clinic so my wife decided i should try that, so we've tried. i don't like people, etc., period because of everything i went trough in the army, so even talking to doctors for me is very hard. tom's cruise's movie, you can't handle the truth, amature hour compared to what i went through, anyway. the V.A., to this day is pretty much refusing to officially recognize GWS or anything when i see them, etc. some doctors will say they know about this and that and admit all the causes etc., but they will not say you have GWS, or anything, many doctors just look at me like i have 3 heads and just landed from mars when i start talking. personally i believe the V.A. INTENTIONALLY DOES NOT TRAIN THEM OR ANYTHING AND TELLS THEM NOT TO APPROVE SUCH THINGS. the questionnaires i filled out seem to me to be one sided and geared towards newer soldiers, for instance, many got out as soon as the gulf war was over, GWS wasn't a recognized thing and no one really knew about it, but at every turn, did you go on sick call for it, well for what GWS WASN'T OFFICIALLY A THING YET, and symptoms came on gradually, it wasn't like i walked out of my tent one day and got shot with a GWS bullet falling to the ground in pain, or something. so right now i'm stuck on they they me its not service connected because i haven't been to sick call for each symptom while i was in, i guess getting exposed, going on sick call for that, and getting court martialed for going on sick call that one time isn't enough.

Gastroparesis, spontaneous collapsed lung, esophageal stricture, vascilitis(Dr said probably due to unknown autoimmune disorder since they couldn't figure out what was causing it), sleep apnea, acute short term memory loss, chronic fatigue, Pulmonary function test showed I had developed asthma, neuro has been treating me for migraines, possible narcolepsy. Now going to ENT for sinus cyst seen on CT from neuro😄 All this time I just thought I was being a big baby.

Could sleep apnea as a respiratory issue as a gulf war combat vet qualify?

I was in OEF got out of the military in 2016, 2018 I got checked for sleep apnea but that came back negative. I paid 800$ for a sleep study that came back with narcolepsy but I dont have the symptoms of narcolepsy and the medication they gave me for narcolepsy doesn't help and im on the highest dose I can. But this makes sense now

Hi. Thanks so much for the video.. This is off subjecr but i hope that you can help.

I've been out the service since 2001. I Recently did an MRI and the VA pain management doc said I have a history of lumbar & cervical radiculopathy (but not sure if that qualifies as an official diagnosis). The doc ordered epidural shots for me beginning next month ..

I was looking at the DBQ for back and neck because I plan on going to a civilian orthopedic doctor and have him fill out. It seems so technical to me (compared to other dbq's) that I'm not sure the doc will feel comfortable filling it out.

Did you have the DBQ filled out by a civilian doc or is that mainly for the C & p examiner? Thanks.

Also this may be a good topic to do a video on because i do not see any other creator doing a detailed video on how a dbq for the back or neck is supposed to look filled out by the provider. Thanks again.

I have a history of abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, dehydration, that continue on today and have documented episodes of the serious ones ie. emergency room visits.
In 2012 along with the recurring abdominal pain I also experienced multiple organ failure (kidney and liver). Had to go on dialysis for two weeks inpatient and another week as an outpatient then was off dialysis. Multiple doctors don't know what happened to me. One even asked me if I ever took Chinese herbal medicines which is a no. Should I file for a claim?

I received the anthrax series end of 2002 beginning of 2003 but ended up not getting deployed to Kuwait. I’ve been under the impression that it was only for ones who have deployed, so I’ve been managing my symptoms okay all these years but it has got so much worse in the last year, I need help.

What about SW Asia (Turkey) 1992, 1993 - first Gulf War?

I’m kind of confused. If I didn’t report my illness while I was in the military, but it did start when I was in, can I still claim the issues? I definitely have many illnesses/symptoms that I know started back then. Is it too late for me? Each illness falls under the presumptive category. I should have way more than 10%
