I don’t really have a need for this cause I don’t have the money for saltwater aquarium but I do still watch it because it’s good content!

I missed the Premiere! 🤦‍♀️ But I have a good excuse - I was coral show! Buying at great prices, corals for which I have no space! 😂😂😂 And WOOOO I’m doing it right! 😁

Your eyebrows should have their own channel 👍

Sounds good! Do you have a stocking list planned for the tank?

Won’t the salt technically keep “mixing” past 4 hours once it’s in the tank

If you are using one of their salts can you change to the other?

while I am not a reefer (not since the 70's), but an enthusiast of our Cornish Marine species, I use Red Sea Salt, 2 weeks before a water change I use a wine brewing bucket and a small very old filter pump less filter, the salt is added to the water and the pump set running, after two weeks it is crystal clear and all I have to do is check the gravity. The inmates are in tip top condition, including a dogfish embryo that is now nearly finished the yolk sac.

My salt mix has simple instructions for how much to mix in terms of salt to water ratio. Mine says 1 kilo for every 10 gallons and I always have a weighing scale to measure how much I add.

I’m confused by the ‘do not mix for more than 4 hours’ BRSTV recently did an experiment where they concluded mixing for 20 hours is best. Do you leave it to stand afterwards or add it straight away? Great channel by the way...really keen to see how this develops over the next 6 -12 months

Your tds readings will always be on 00ppm if you use resin media in membrane unit, and have the good water coming straight out of the ro unit, and going straight into a membrane unit filled up with resin. But resin will need to be replaced from time to time, as its life will run out, like carbon and roawaphos.

Red Sea Coral Pro has alk at around 15dkh.... I always see this as a salt for people who don't want to dose... I really advise using the blue bucket in combination with a doser.

I mix my salt at about 25C, for about 10 minutes, wait for it to clear, and probably add within about a half hour. Is there a risk to doing it this way?

Biased review sorry but red sea salt is not the best. Intact far from it.
