Theyre wrong about using anti aircraft guns for land targets as being unconventional. Probably the most prolific and best anti tank weapon in ww2 was the german 88mm canon which was an anti aircraft gun

I'm wondering why the U.S. hasn't implemented small soldier operated drones for artillery, sniper and recon teams. Also special forces. Basically anything that requires quick target acquisition and distance

There is nothing unconventional about an AA gun being used as an artillery/antitank weapon.. The infamous german 88mm was an AA gun.
