I confessed to a guy that I liked him a couple months after meeting him. He didn't feel the same way but I said I was fine with continuing as friends. Not that this always happens, but we became really close after the rejection and he actually ended up developing feelings for me after a couple months because I respected the aftermath and showed that I could handle rejection. Something I embraced long time ago. I decided I would just be brave and live fully for myself... rejection is not what we think it is it has nothing to do with our worth. I did exactly what you just advised about a month ago with a guy I had been dating for about 6 months. I showed him that I wanted this relationship and that I wasn't afraid of being hurt even when I knew he was about to end things between us. It was one of the best breakups I've ever had. Let me explain.

Rejection is humbling. We learn why we get rejected so in the future we can look at ourselves what we can improve on. Also it does not leave you hanging or wondering what if.

The greatest mistake we can do to ourselves is uncertainty.

You can never be happy being uncertain about things.

Take a chance & never leave things incomplete.
Just like anything else in life.
